Gigantica

Danny Fairbrass had always dreamt of owning his own lake, and in 2008 that became a reality when he bought a 35-acre water in France known as St. Christophe, and which he renamed Gigantica due to the huge carp that lived there.

Since then, Gigantica has become one of the most popular carp fishing holiday complexes in France, with a second lake – the 26 acre Road Lake – being added, as well as a stock pond which is now providing the complex with all the new fish that it needs and preserving the genetics of a strain of carp that have a proven history of growing very large. The stocking policy has been a big success and the new fish have piled on the weight, ensuring that the venue will be producing gigantic carp for many years to come.

Each lake can be fished by up to 12 anglers each week, with the Main Lake being the harder of the two, with a stock of around 700 carp, of which twelve are over 70lb, and four of those top the 80lb mark, and with a lake record of 96lb 8oz. which is a stunning common known as the Immaculate Common.
