Mixed 50/50 match black/ silver X and then 70/30 with dark leam/soil then fished Patsall Great Pool over 2 consecutive weekends. Caught virtually a roach a chuck on the pole when others could hardly catch a fish. Not a massive net but really good on such cold days (16 and 14 lbs on two weekends). Bleak winds and prolonged rain but over 200 "blades" + some nice skimmers and the odd perch. Did last weekend at Blakelands using the same mix and exactly the same result, loads of 2 - 8oz roach when nothing else was being caught. Lovely product to use, consistent high quality and very much a "go to" when small roach are the target. Definitely now think that roach like a dark base to feed over as they do not stand out some much to any pike/perch as they would on a lighter coloured feed.
